Our Founder
George Scott, lifelong resident of Kingston and graduate of Queen’s University, considers himself to be an environmental realist. The founder and C.E.O. of Kingston based Scott Environmental Group Limited (SEG) recognizes one of the main challenges we face today as a society is the creation of a model of sustainability that encourages economic growth and development while conserving and protecting our shared environment.
Mr. Scott is very active as a community volunteer sitting on a number of not-for-profit boards lending his unique leadership style to many worthwhile social and cultural initiatives. He has a particular interest in pursuing the concept of sustainable communities as it relates to the emerging field of bioenergy. He has traveled the world exploring and assessing a number of emerging bioenergy technologies and has actively participated in numerous conferences and symposiums across North America.
