Scott Environmental Group Limited (SEG) incubates and commercializes unique environmental technologies and develops sound waste management strategies for its clients. This mandate generates unique capabilities to conserve natural resources and recycle usable resources back into the supply chain.

As in many industrialized countries, our citizens generate waste; it is simply a function of our lifestyle.

“You can’t expect people to trade in their vehicles for bicycles, shower with cold water, or stop creating garbage altogether,” explains George Scott, president of SEG. “These are unrealistic expectations. What we can do, though, is change the mindset by creating systems for today and tomorrow that have a positive impact on our environment.”

Recognized as the premier provider for industrial waste management and Environmental Emergency Response across Ontario, SEG utilizes state of the art waste management technologies at its hazardous waste processing facilities, safely and efficiently treating the myriad of waste generated in our region. SEG deploys highly specialized equipment to respond to environmental crises on land, sea and rail in urban and remote regions of the province. The company also provides specialized industrial cleaning and maintenance services to major global manufacturers and the transportation and hospitality industries.

In total, SEG employs over 70 people and operates under ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 accreditations. Scott credits his company’s success to key partnerships with the industrial sector to develop technologies and employ strategies that minimize waste. He predicts ongoing collaborations with local industries and regional municipalities will allow Scott Environmental Group Limited to continue to expand and diversify into related fields of biotechnology, bio-energy production and electrical cogeneration.
